“The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine” – Mike Murdock
It’s a common sense approach, it’s simple advice, but how many of the tips can you honestly say you are currently doing every single day during isolation?
That’s my motivational question today, to get your butt in gear ☺
1. Routine
Humans are creatures of habit. Routine is what makes our world go round that little bit smoother. Routine is the foundation for stability, focus + enthusiasm. Implement the tips below to help with that ☺
2. Hydration
The best asset you have in your home to keep your energy levels high and your appetite at bay. If your urine is not a slightly off clear colour and looks more like red bull, you’re taking away your best chance you have at thriving. Find a water bottle you love, fill it with water then use and abuse the heck out of it
3. Volumous (that isn’t a real word) meal prep
Bulk out your meals with veg, or have a massive salad that covers half your plate to fill you up. That way, you will have more leftovers for a meal the next day, saving on food preparation time and trips to the supermarket
4. Sleep pattern
Wake up and go to sleep at the same time every day. The human body’s internal clock needs routine to thrive, and it will reward you with feeling better, more energised and happier throughout your isolation days. If you don’t believe me, try it!
5. Activity
Could I get through a whole blog without talking about calories? Absolutely not! Get moving daily, if not twice daily! Move to release the happy endorphins. And the chances are you’re less active now than normal, so find a way to keep the calorie burning up!
If this seems like a lot to take on all at once, start with one of the tips, crack that and then add in another one when you feel ready
Rome wasn’t built in a day, but if you never start you’re never going to build it!
Take care and stay safe! Yours In Health,
Steph <3
