What do snowmen have for breakfast? Snowflakes
I could sit here and say
“Skip breakfast and save the calories for a bigger lunch”
“Stick to meat + veg at lunch and save some calories for dessert”
“Find some time in the day to get out for a walk and burn some calories off”
I could do that.
But that would:
- Be hypocritical.
- Make me a main stream nutritionist, which I certainly am not.
- Defeat the purpose of Christmas.
Look, you have 365 days in a year.
Take off 14 days for a summer holiday, that’s 351 days left.
Take off a week around Christmas, that’s 344 days.
That’s 344 days to make all the progress you need to in a year.
Whether you’re in this for weight loss or health.
Having some time off to rest, relax, eat and drink what you want is part of your journey.
You’re on this planet to feel alive, be happy and healthy, right?
Being happy + healthy is sometimes simply spending time with loved ones.
And not worrying about the numbers, MyFitnessPal or when you last went to the gym.
I’m asking you this Christmas to take perspective.
Enjoy it and remember there is more to life than a calorie deficit.
And that’s coming from me, the one that shouts for the 344 days of the year about the importance of a calorie deficit!
Happy Christmas and whilst we are here
I just want to say a big thank you for your support in reading my blogs, and I hope you get something out of them each time ☺
Any questions please feel free to ask ☺
