“Sorry I can’t come to that party, I have tennis”
“Sorry I can’t come to that party, I have tennis”
That was always my reason to stay off the streets of Basingstoke as a youth
Until I was 16 and found alcohol and boys (sorry dad)
From 18 years old, I spent four years at University in the USA on a tennis scholarship
I came out with a higher grade in my Sports Science degree than Ross (not sorry)
And learnt how to EAT like a true American.
Long Story Short
In the states my appetite grew, and so did my belly
Which is now the reason I am a full time nutritionist both inside and outside of SRC
I saw how food, and body weight effects us to the core
My first stop back in the UK, I studied for my Masters degree in Sports Nutrition
Some call it passion, but I explain it like a dog with a bone
There is nothing more important in my career (and mostly life, let’s be honest)
Than leaving this world a healthier and happier place than I found it
I tennis coach on the side
One because I like being around people, and online coaching is lonely
Two because I want to give back to the sport that shaped me into who I am today
Everyone close to me tells me off for working too much
But I’m telling you… dog with a bone
I will rest when I complete my mission
My nutrition coaching philosophy is based solely on education
If you want to continue eating carbs, chocolate and drinking alcohol
Then I’m your girl (nutritionist)
This whole nutrition thing, it’s a lifestyle
If you see it as a chore
Or more importantly, don’t know what the 80/20 rule is
Food is the foundation of happiness; so let me teach you how that’s possible!
