“Calorie counting is boring”
I have tried calorie counting before and it didn’t work”
First off… you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to
But if your goal is to lose weight, reduce body fat and feel like a million dollars in a swimsuit
It’s worth reading on…
To lose body weight and fat, requires a consistent calorie deficit #ccd
If you eat less calories than you burn off, over a consistent period of time
Change will happen
Success will come
It’s the first law of thermodynamics, a scientific term for fact 😉
How you create this #ccd though, is up to you
There is NO one best way
But you know that saying, “you can’t manage what you don’t measure?”
How do you know you’re actually eating in a #ccd?
Yes, you could use strategies such as intermittent fasting
That will help you eat less, and possibly create a #ccd
But the reality is, weight/ body fat loss is a game of numbers
You want results, and you want them fast
Tracking, measuring and evaluating the numbers on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
Guarantees you get those results, at the speed you want
It also teaches you the composition of food
E.g. do you know how many calories there are in a large dominos pizza?
The answer- you don’t want to know!!
Eating clean, intermittent fasting, carb cycling… they all MIGHT work
Tracking calories, WILL work
“But it’s so much effort,” I still hear you say…
Change requires effort
If you can’t commit to inputting your days food into an app that will take 2.7 minutes out of your day
Maybe you’re not ready to change?
Or maybe you need to understand nutrition a little better?
Tracking your daily calorie intake isn’t the be all and end all
It’s going to depend largely on your lifestyle, your goals and the time frame that you want to achieve them
It’s not something you need to do forever
But to begin your journey it’s a bloody good place to start!!
