Humans need 3 main macronutrients to survive

Protein, carbohydrates, and fat

To change your body weight or shape, you need to manage your calories

Protein contains 4 calories per gram

Carbohydrates contain 4 calories per gram

Fat contains 9 calories per gram

To lose weight, you must be in a calorie deficit

Over a consistent period of time #ccd

If you consume a high amount of fat in your diet

You, therefore, consume a high amount of calories

Fat contains more calories per gram than carbs or protein

3g to be specific

It’s very easy to overeat on fats and therefore calories

So let’s conclude here it’s not the fat that is making you fat

It’s the calories

Instead of blaming a specific food or food group for lack of progress

Understand food, understand the science and apply it to your goals
