“Students learn best when they feel welcomed, comfortable and safe”
Being overweight/ obese is associated with a much higher chance of a premature death.
Obesity is preventable. We know this.
In 2016:
- 1.9 billion, (39%) of adults were overweight
- 650 million (13%) adults were obese
- 340 million children were overweight or obese
But who’s fault is obesity?
The individual?
Society?
Commercial marketing?
The increased palpability of food?
The fast-food industry?
The reality is, the answer is ALL of the above.
It’s a multifactorial problem, which means no straightforward answer.
So where do we start in the hope of reversing these statistics?
Well, that’s the million-dollar question!!!!
Ross and I have talked for endless hours about this topic.
And this is our conclusion:
Coach people as an individual
Coach them with love, positivity and educate the hell out of them
Losing weight and body fat is easier with a strong supportive, positive environment around you.
I don’t think anyone can argue with that.
Obesity will continue to be a problem, in our opinion, until human beings are treated as an individual, via education, legit support and care, and love.
Any questions or if you would like to add to the obesity topic, please give us a message. ☺
